Summary:
Provides hands on Windows technical support for enterprise Customers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform technical support of complex customer problems in complex environments as a member of a highly skilled, highly motivated, excellence striving team
- Maintain an advanced technical understanding of product suite as well as our competitor's products and technologies
- Provide technical expertise in specific areas
- Will be directly involved in customer calls
- Will be called upon to provide troubleshooting assistance
- May work with Product Management to understand competition as well as provide input for keeping product technically ahead of competition
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of BSEE or BSCS and 5+ years relevant large scale Windows administration and deployment experience
Knowledge and Skill:
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of all areas of Windows administration, deployment and troubleshooting
- Must possess the proven ability to solve complex problems
Must have the following technical experience:
- Large scale enterprise experience with Microsoft technology including deployment, troubleshooting, administration and performance tuning of one or more of the following: MS Exchange, SQL Server, MS Clustering
- Experience using WinPE(RIS) or Altiris
- In-depth knowledge of Windows internals
- Good understanding of networking infrastructure and operation
- User level knowledge of Linux/Unix
- Microsoft Cluster Server deployment, management, and troubleshooting experience
Advantageous but not essential technical experience:
- Exposure to large scale SAN environments
- Ability to analyze MPS & Windows Kernel Dump files
- Proficiency in C/C++ or other programming language
- Practical experience with Windebug
