BOXBOROUGH, MA - Egenera (www.egenera.com), a pioneer in converged fabrics and infrastructure automation software, has expanded its sales organization with the appointment of two IT industry veterans to the Egenera leadership team. Chris Cleary has been named vice president of worldwide channel sales and partner development. Perry Trach takes on an expanded role at Egenera as vice president of North America sales. He joined the company in January as vice president of Northeast sales. Both Cleary and Trach will be instrumental in growing Egenera’s PAN Manager software business. Cleary will manage the growing channel development team and will focus on expanding and building upon partnerships with innovative value added resellers, systems integrators and service providers. Trach will be leading the Egenera sales team to drive net new revenue in North America through the Egenera partner channel as well as building pipeline in enterprise and commercial accounts across all vertical markets.
“Both Chris and Perry are natural and critical additions to the leadership team at Egenera as we close out 2011 strong and position the company for a successful 2012,” said Jim Bandanza, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Egenera. “Their proven expertise in the IT sector and ability to anticipate and leverage developing business trends, such as the rapidly expanding use of private clouds in enterprise organizations, is of great value to Egenera as we continue our success in achieving seven straight quarters of profitability despite the challenging business environment.”
With more than 18 years of high-growth technology sales experience in the information security and telecom industries, Cleary specializes in complex global and multi-national structured sales, strategic partnerships, and business development in rapidly emerging markets. His expertise in global strategic alliances, national channel sales and international supply chain management has driven exponential growth in ultra-competitive markets across the Americas, Europe, Africa and Australia. Prior to joining Egenera, Cleary was the senior director of global strategic alliances and corporate development at Fortinet, provider of network security appliances. He also served as director of North American business development at Secured Services and as a sales manager with AT&T. Cleary graduated from William Paterson University.
