Dell, Inc. has entered into an OEM agreement with Egenera whereby Dell will integrate, market and resell PAN Manager software by Egenera on Dell platforms. This OEM partnership reflects the vision shared by Dell and Egenera: to simplify IT and drastically reduce data center cost and complexity. Together, the two companies intend to combine Dell’s award-winning PowerEdgeTM server line, a full suite of Dell’s Infrastructure Consulting Services and PAN Manager by Egenera’s infrastructure virtualization software suite. The solution is designed to enable customers to simplify operations by creating and managing resource pools for both physical and virtualized servers.
