EGENERA EXTENDS VALUE OF HP PARTNERSHIP WITH PROMOTION FOR JOINT CONVERGED INFRASTRUCTURE SOLUTION

 Promotion Offers Industry-Leading HP and Egenera Solutions for a Bundled Price

BOXBOROUGH, MA – December 13, 2011 – Egenera, a pioneer in converged fabrics and infrastructure automation software, today announced a limited time promotion of a joint HP and Egenera converged fabric solution. This promotion comes at an important time in the adoption cycle of converged fabrics as roughly 50 percent of survey respondents at a recent Gartner Data Center conferenced stated they have implemented, or are in the process of implementing, fabric computing. While Egenera has been helping customers create converged fabrics for more than a decade, Egenera and HP announced a partnership earlier this year that features the availability of Egenera PAN Manager® Software on HP BladeSystem c-class server blades. This promotion builds on that partnership to make the fabric-based solutions more accessible to the market.

The promotion is available to eligible customers through July 31, 2012 with HP offering customers significant incentives on eligible HP ProLiant Server configurations when purchased as a solution with Egenera software.  In addition, Egenera is offering substantial incentives on PAN Manager as part of the bundle. Eligible customers must order PAN Manager products for each blade in the configuration. Products can be ordered through HP or Egenera partners.
