Chief Marketing Officer of Egenera to Speak at Conference Board Women’s Leadership Conference in New York City

Christine Crandell to Address Global Alliances and Partnerships

Marlboro, MAApril 14, 2009—Egenera, the leader in data center infrastructure orchestration, today announced that its Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Christine Crandell, will address the Conference Board’s Women’s Leadership Forum on April 21st in New York City. The theme of this year’s conference will be “Winning Strategies for Success.”

Top companies that are making significant strides in promoting women in their organizations will address The Conference Board 2009 Women’s Leadership Conference. Sponsored by ExxonMobil, State Farm and The Campbell Soup Company, other participants in the conference include State Street, GE Real Estate, Pitney Bowes, State Farm and Turner Broadcasting. Ms. Crandell will be speaking on April 21 at 10:30 AM at the Marriott Hotel on the panel session: Alliances that work: Global Partnerships.

As companies operate in more and more countries, either through establishing branch operations, establishing working partnerships with other companies, or through acquisitions, opportunities for women to work in a number of different countries increase. Ms. Crandell will address the challenges for companies and for women as managers and employees as they post women around the world.

“Forging global alliances as a female executive is a topic that is near and dear to my heart,” said Crandell.  “I am pleased to be able to exchange ideas with many of my distinguished colleagues and to support the advancement of women.”

With over two decades of marketing and strategy experience, Crandell leads Egenera’s global marketing, business development, and alliance efforts to build its leadership position in the fast growing global market of data center infrastructure orchestration solutions.  Crandell’s experience at Egenera in forging lasting alliances with companies like Dell and Fujitsu and her experience in hiring and promoting women, as well as her previous experiences as Vice President of Global Marketing at enterprise software firm Ariba, where she managed a global marketing organization, give her a unique global perspective into the challenges women face as executives, managers and employees.
