This course provides students with the advanced skills and knowledge needed to fully implement a Processing Area Networks (PAN).  The focus is SAN and networking integration, pServer replication, and advanced Virtualization implementation using vBlades and VMWare.

To best prepare students for real-world BladeFrame environments:

• Instructor-led Lecture/Discussion/Demonstration
• Nearly all major procedures supported through hands-on practice on actual
  Egenera equipment (not simulations).

Intended Audience:

• Those involved in PAN Architectural Implementation.
• Those who operate, support, install, or administer the BladeFrame environment.
• Those who wish to learn more about the BladeFrame environment. Especially
  advanced Virtualization techniques

Prerequisite Skills:
Students attending this course should have experience in the following areas:

• General understanding of datacenter infrastructure, server architecture and
  networking.
• Practical experience installing and administering Linux or Windows-based operating systems.  Previous attendance of either of the following course tracks
  • PAN  Administration Workshop
  • BladeFrame Integration I & II (legacy courses)
• Practical experience in PAN Administration
