BEIJING, —November 15, 2006—Egenera Inc., a global leader in datacenter virtualization architecture, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Digital China for technology development and products distribution. Digital China is an IT services company dedicated to the advancement of digitization in China. Headquartered in Beijing, Digital China has 13 regional centers and 11 representative offices across China, making it the country's largest IT services provider. Under the terms of the agreement, Digital China will resell the Egenera® BladeFrame® system, including blades configured with Intel® Xeon® processors, across financial services, government, telecom and other industries. In addition, Egenera announced today that it has established a relationship with new solution partner Digital China Financial Software Ltd. (DCFS), the second largest financial solutions provider in China.

DCFS is the second largest financial solutions provider in the China market, specializing in helping clients plan, implement and manage their IT architectures. As a solution partner, DCFS will use the Egenera architecture as the preferred platform on which to run DCFS' banking solutions applications—an invaluable role in accelerating Egenera's penetration into the Chinese market.
