Inside Sales Representative

If you want to develop your sales skills and, learn the IT channel inside and out this job is for you!
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying, targeting, prospecting and engaging with the IT channel (MSPs, VARs, SIs, etc.) with the goal of converting them to Egenera partners. As the Inside Sales Representative, you love prospecting and finding new partners. You’re a hunter, – you’re not afraid to cold call, and you’re willing to do research and preparation before speaking with potential partners. You can understand and master technology concepts quickly.

This position requires a mix of focused cold and warm calling. The Inside Sales Representative should have a tremendous presence resulting from their upbeat and confident personality. To succeed in this role, you should have a desire to learn and take advice and feedback constructively. You should also be an excellent listener in order to understand what the needs of the prospect are and how Egenera’s solutions can help solve them. This job will be based in Egenera’s headquarters office in Boxborough, MA.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively call and qualify prospects generated from marketing lists, tradeshows and former prospects who you will re-engage.
  • Independently develop your own prospect list through research of target market.
  • Field and qualify inbound inquiries and route strategic opportunities to the field team.
  • Use consultative skills and technical knowledge to develop and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Work closely with marketing to develop and execute lead generation programs
  • Act as a liaison between Egenera field sales and prospective partners to manage all communications.
  • Achieve and/or exceed quota.

Skills & Experience:

  • Candidate must be a recent college graduate or someone with 1-2 years inside sales experience.
  • Self-starter, highly assertive and motivated to exceed sales and productivity targets.
  • The ability to work effectively at all levels in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and drive results across differing sales cycles (monthly & quarterly).

 

Regional Account Executive – Northeast

This is an exciting opportunity to join Egenera, an established organization that is growing its Xterity Cloud Services wholesale cloud in North America. Egenera has been successfully offering Enterprise Class Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), and Backup as a Service (BaaS) since 2011. Egenera is looking for a talented and successful sales professional to drive new client revenue in our Northeast Region.

Xterity Cloud offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting and growing offering, the potential for career advancement, and an aggressive commission plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute action plan to grow new revenue and develop our Northeast Region.
  • Understands the client’s critical business priorities and supporting IT challenges; focuses on driving value for the client while maximizing revenue and margin.
  • Educate client on the value of cloud related services
  • Participate in requested trade shows, events and outings.
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Establish and qualify pipeline, engaging appropriate resources to develop technical requirements and solutions.
  • In consultation with the Vice President Sales provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Utilize knowledge of the cloud market and solutions to articulate offering differentiators to the marketplace.
  • Meet or exceed revenue expectations.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years selling experience.
  • Experience closing managed service providers or outsourcing services.
  • Performance in consistently meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Proven success selling solutions into the datacenter infrastructure space.
  • Proven success selling cloud services and/or cloud infrastructure software.

Regional Account Executive – West
