Egenera® Control Blades and Switch Blades
By hosting Egenera PAN Manager software, the fully redundant Control Blades EX manage BladeFrame performance and functionality. They also house a DVD drive, ports for laptop-based administration, and interfaces to external network and storage resources.
The fully redundant Switch Blades EX provide the switching of both external and internal network traffic and allow PAN Manager software to dynamically create connections between Processing Blades.
