Location: Marlboro, MA

Responsibilities:

Utilize state of the art technologies to develop kernel software to support Egenera's unique system architectures.   This position requires expertise in operating system internals and Linux device driver development.  Knowledge of SCSI and SAN storage drivers (including iSCSI), networking, and highly available systems are highly desirable.

• Be a member of the team which designs and implements Linux drivers for Egenera PAN Manager.
• Perform debugging and validation of new features.
• Generate functional and integration test plans. Execute functional and integration tests.
• Characterize and analyze performance issues.

Skills Required:

• BS/MS EE/CS degree or equivalent
• 5+ years software development experience with the Unix/Linux kernel. Requires knowledge of C, scripting languages, kernel-level debugging, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of SAN or networking subsystems.
• Experience with bringing up an operating system on a new platform is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be goal driven with the ability to work independently and perform as a team player.
• Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
