Egenera is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer/Technical Support Engineer to provide hands on technical support for Egenera's enterprise clients. Apply technical expertise using standard operating and diagnostic protocols to resolve standard to highly complex system level issues. Perform technical support of customer problems in complex environments. Directly participate in customer calls and effectively communicate procedural and technical issues in a fast paced and customer critical environment. Troubleshoot technical issues in order to resolve customer issues. Maintain an advanced technical understanding of Egenera’s product suite and competitor’s products and technologies:
Requires the following technical experience:
- Experience working with large enterprise Windows Environments
- Experience with Windows 2000, 2003, and 2008.
- Knowledge of Windows internals.
- Microsoft WinPE (or RIS) or Altiris deployment environments.
The following technical experience is a plus:
- Previous administration experience on one or more of the following storage arrays:
- EMC SYMMETRIX
- EMC CLARiiON
- 3PAR InServ
- Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) USP or TagmaStor
- NetApp FAS models
- SAN replication, cloning, or snapshot tool, such as EMC Replication Manager
- Microsoft Exchange deployment, management, and troubleshooting experience
- Deployment, management and troubleshooting of:
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft Cluster Server
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft WinPE (or RIS) or Altiris deployment environments
- Ability to analyze MPS Reports, Windows Kernel Dump files and performance problems. Ability to implement performance tuning.
