Location: San Francisco, CA
Job Description:
Provide pre-sales technical support to Account Executives to present Egenera products and services and address technical issues in order to successfully sell Egenera products.Will act as the primary technical interface on customer sales calls and assist in preparing responses to RFP's, RFI's, and RFC's. Participate in customer calls, proof of concept, product demonstrations and presentations. Play a primary role in the development and implementation of business solutions and addressing identified customer needs including defining target applications for the Egenera solution. Provide feedback to product marketing on product features.
Skills Desired:

Strong experience and understanding of enterprise data center and application environments with specific concentration in high-end server sales and in-depth knowledge of the Egenera product line.

Strong technical background in Linux/UNIX servers and large scale, mission critical enterprise data center environments.

Knowledge of the Computer Server industry and competition.

Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS and networking technologies highly desirable.

Ability to articulate to technical, CIO, and CXO audience.
Education and/or Experience:

Six plus years of experience, preferably with a UNIX server company.

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.

Must be willing to travel between 25-30%.
